Found it!
I had the same problems as Mr. Holland [Letters, #71, p, 98] about not receiving information of small labels and independent releases, until I gave up trying. There seems to be some light about this problem, it is called NOMA (initials for National Online Music Alliance). It's an Internet site, and they stock many small labels and independent releases, and also information about the artists. I have found CDs there I could not buy anywhere else. And they have very good service, they'll do anything they can to get that CD you've been looking for if it is in their list. Support them.

Caught in the web
Your web page is great as it has so many electronic links to other sources, particularly e-mail addresses for record labels. If I read a favorable CD review in DL and want the album, e-mail addresses will allow me to contact labels electronically rather than use snail-mail. Keep up the good work.

Laurie Lewis
Yesterday, I received another great issue, of course, of Dirty Linen and wanted to comment on Stephen Ide's eloquent brief on Ms. Laurie Lewis [#72, p. 65]. It's good to know I am not the only one who feels as Mr. Ide does. My first introduction to Ms. Lewis was back in 1992, I was floored by Lewis' and Grant Street's performance at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall. Since then, Laurie has been my favorite bluegrass artist. I too wish her a wealth of success... if anyone, she does deserves it.

We goofed
I appreciate the thoughtful and positive review of our Memorial Day - American Impressionist Songwriters, Volume 2 [#73, p. 90]. There's an error, however: none of the tracks are taken from "various Waterbug releases." Most have never been previously released, and are only available here. Several artists included have no connection to Waterbug other than inclusion on the songwriter collections.
